Stephen has been working with fish for over ten years. He received his Bachelors from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in Biology/Marine Science and his Masters from Missouri State University in Fisheries Biology. He has worked at Washington University and with zebrafish for 4+ years.

Isabelle (Isa) is a Senior Scientist in the Solnica-Krezel Lab and the Scientific Advisor for the zebrafish facility. She has earned her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Pasteur Institute/ University Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris, France. She has 14+ years research experience, including 8+ years working with the zebrafish model.

Anna is the Research Laboratory Supervisor for the Solnica-Krezel Lab. She received her Bachelors from Truman State University. She has 12+ years experience as a technician at Washington University and 10+ years working with zebrafish.

John is a Research Technician II within the Solnica-Krezel Lab. He has been a technician at Washington University for 7+ years including 2+ years working with zebrafish. He was also in charge of fish care at Petsmart for 5 years.

Megan is a Research Technician II working directly for the Fish Facility. She has a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science from Saint Louis University and is working toward her Masters in Investigative Medicine and Technology. She has worked in the Facility since June of 2015. Megan is a former dog trainer and comes to us with 7+ years of animal care and handling experience.

Zack is a recent graduate from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences. After relocating to St. Louis, he began work on characterizing a mutant found in a collaborative genetic screen between the Solnica-Krezel lab and the Monk lab.

His favorite part of working in the fish facility is the comradeship between staff, researchers, and new faculty working together. In his spare time, he likes to read the Feynman Lectures on Physics, train for long-distance running, and play music.

Jo-Ann is a Labratory Assistant I within the Department of Developmental Biology. She has worked within Washington University and the Fish Facility for 4+ years. Jo-Ann does an impeccable job of maintaining facility cleanliness and organization of zebrafish tanks and tank parts. She also records facility data and delivers Department of Developmental Biology’s mail.
