Zak is a Research Laboratory Supervisor for the Zebrafish Consortium Facility at Washington University. He collectively has over ten years of experience in aquaculture and eight years exclusively working with zebrafish. The previous institutions where Zak has honed his zebrafish husbandry skills includes both the University of Pittsburgh and the Duke University Medical Center. Zak is a graduate of Kentucky State University where he obtained his Master’s degree in Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences and also completed his undergraduate from Juniata College with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science.
